Audition
Membership in Carolina Voices is by audition only.
Auditions are held twice a year: in Summer & Winter. Please note that auditions are for participation in the next upcoming season's vocal performances.

Rehearsal Information
MainStage rehearses weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6:45-9:00 PM.
Festival Singers rehearses weekly on Monday evenings from 7:00-9:30 PM.
IMPROMPTU rehearses weekly on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 PM.
Membership Requirements
- All members must be at least 16 years old.
- Attendance for all rehearsals and concerts is expected. Special arrangements must be approved by the Director.
Membership Dues
Membership dues for each season are $75.
Audition Requirements
- A 1-2 minute solo song of your own choice. The purpose of this is to hear your voice using music with which you feel comfortable and can illustrate the quality and range of your singing voice.
- You may sing a cappella or bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
- You may sing from memory, or from lyrics or sheet music.
- Any style or genre is acceptable. You should choose a song that feels comfortable for your voice that you love to sing.
- Singers will be directed through vocal exercises to determine vocal range, intonation, and tonal memory. (No preparation is required for this.)
- Please plan to share your past singing/choral experience with our directors.
We understand that some singers might feel "rusty" or out of practice. Below are a few trusted local singing coaches that can help with your preparation. This is certainly not required! Check with each individual about their pricing.

Volunteering is a great way to meet people, make new friends, and give back to your community, and Carolina Voices success depends on its volunteers. Whether as a performer onstage or helping behind the scenes, we have a place for you.
