OPEN HOUSE: So You Think You Can Sing?

Tuesday, September 14 at 7pm

Myers Park Baptist Church - Shalom Hall (1900 Queens Road, Charlotte, 28207)

As part of the Arts & Science Council's Cultural Free-For-All, Carolina Voices invites you to see what it’s like to sing in a Carolina Voices choir!  On this special night of music, friendship and fun, Carolina Voices opens its doors to the community to meet our directors, singers and to hear each of our choirs perform.  Enjoy door prizes and light refreshments as well as a sing-a-long or two.

THERE WILL BE REST

Saturday, November 6 at 7:30pm

Tate Hall, CPCC Campus – Overcash Building (1201 Elizabeth Ave., Charlotte, 28235)

VOX presents a preview of their newest CD, featuring contemporary, classical, pop, jazz and world music, in collaboration with percussionist Jim Brock, local sax legend Jack Murray and more.  The CD and concert focus on two of today's most important issues: mankind's relationship to nature and to each other in ongoing armed conflict.  VOX's signature wide-ranging repertoire combines modern masterpieces like Eric Whitacre's stunning Cloudburst and Edwin Fissinger's In Paradisum with Carly Simon's Let the River Run, Paul Winter's For the Beauty of the Earth, and Vincent DeLap's powerful arrangement of When Johnny Comes Marching Home.  Don't miss this moving performance.  Tickets are limited.
