If you want to hear a variety of choral music at its best, you won’t want to miss The Big Sing!  All three Carolina Voices choirs come together to present an exciting night of choral favorites from the worlds of pop, rock, spirituals and more.  That means you’ll be entertained with a huge array of music -- from the California sounds of the Beach Boys to the rich, extraordinary music of composer Eric Whitacre and the pop stylings of Michael Jackson and more -- all on one stage.  Creative lighting and sound will fill the theater.  We’re sure you will want to sing along and hope you do!

James Kevin Gray, Guest Director
James Kevin Gray is a native South Carolinian and a graduate of Winthrop University, where he studied under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Edgerton. Kevin has taught in public schools as well as on the collegiate level as the director of the Winthrop University Jazz Voices. He is a published composer and has written for various high school choirs as well as for many choral ensembles including the Lancaster Chamber Choir, Festival Singers of Charlotte, Renaissance of Charlotte and The Bainbridge Chorale of Seattle.  His pieces have been performed at the Piccolo Spoleto Music Festival in 2007, 2008, 2011, 2014 and 2015. Kevin is also the founder of the Power of Song, a Collaborative Musical initiative based in Charlotte, NC. Presently, he serves as the Minister for Worship and Music at St. John's Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.  Kevin resides in the nearby town of Rock Hill, SC with his wife, Alison, and son, Mason.
